Double Espresso
Posted in Work on June 10th, 2009I am loving this coffee shop. It’s like my long lost days at Panera, except purely coffee. I really regret leaving there, so it’s nice to somehow get a part of it back. Oh how I love coffee. And the type of people that come there are so much better than the theater. I mean, the mall movie theater attracts the lowest, sketchiest people. Some customers are good, but most are just rude. Granted, you get rude people everywhere, but they are at a lower percentage. And the type of rude is different. Here, the customers are more humorous than rude. The people fuss about how the coffee is made wrong, when you make it exactly like the instructions say, or the espresso isn’t brewed long enough. They make you think they don’t know what coffee is. Actually, I think that lady complaining about the espresso expected me to brew another espresso and give her both, but just to stick it to her I poured the “bad” espresso down the drain.
Oh how I love pissing people off. There’s no way I’m rewarding a prude with free stuff.
Another lady got mad because I gave her a sample, which we don’t do, in a hot beverage cup. She told me that we had cold sample cups, and why the hell didn’t I know that, am I an idiot? I asked my boss, and they had those cups 3 years ago with a special beverage. So that lady obviously hadn’t been there recently. Of course things change over time, sorry nothing else in her life has. And she didn’t even buy anything! I was nice enough to give her a sample of another lady’s drink, then she insults me, then she leaves. REALLY?!
Another lady wanted a frappachino. Well, we are not starbucks. So I made her our version of a mocha frapp. Apparently it wasn’t flavorful enough and made a fuss about how she couldn’t taste the mocha, only tasted chocolate. Seriously? She thought mocha was code for coffee. No lady, mocha is a coffee chocolate blend. Mocha IS chocolate. And apparently she had gotten a frappachino here before so why did it taste different? Idiots are a necessary evil, but they always make for a good story, right?

That sounds terrible, lol. Perhaps I’m just biased (I’m not a coffee drinker — yuck), but when I think of coffee shops I think of the self-obsessed cult that is Starbucks, with people being so picky about their orders and everything.
It pisses me off so much when I hear of people complaining about the ‘poor’ quality of jobs that some employee is performing. I haven’t had a job yet, but I never want to work in the service sector.
Oh, and yes, idiots do make for a good story.

Umm, do you know what the word “prude” means? It’s like if a woman is prim and proper or extremely modest. You used it wrong…

While I appreciate you going to the extra efforts to point out my mistakes, it should have been apparent enough of what I was trying to say that one word used incorrectly would not have mattered much, and most people in common society use the word wrong, so its overlooked most of the time anyways
