Take a Chill Pill Dude

I’ve had quite a day today. Whenever I have a test, there’s always at least two on the same day. It makes the day stressful. What’s even more stressful is that one of them is math, and math, as some of you may know, is not my best subject. But I carry on bravely.

What makes my class even more stressful isn’t the subject, (it’s calc 3, which is the simple solve the solution, get an answer type of problems, much better than that abstract nightmare) but the teacher. Earlier in the semester my prof had to take time off, so we got a new prof, and both of them aren’t good teachers. The new prof doesn’t want to follow what the old prof was doing, and yet she’s using his tests. The lectures don’t cover all of what we need to know for the tests, and she rambles on for half an hour before she realizes she made a mistake in step one of the problem, and it’s just horrible. This class is a joke. :annoy:

So, I studied diligently for this test that I had no clue what it was over. Luckily, we can use our book. Unluckily, the book is no help. Half the problems were trick questions, and the other half were so complicated and yet so simple that I was panicking to get it all done. PANICKING! I never panic on tests, so the sensation freaked me out a little. And who makes extremely long problems on tests, I think that’s just evil! Walking out the door, my mind was trying to figure out what had just happened, lol.

Now that I’ve set the mood, on to the good part of the story. My math class is in the evening. I got out a 7:10 tonight, and since we are now off daylight savings, it’s dark a lot earlier. I don’t like walking home by myself on campus at night, I don’t feel safe, and this is why:

I met Eamon at the library right after my test, mentally and physically exhausted after the two tests I had today. I was in no mood to think anymore, I just needed food. We decided to walk down to one of the restaurants really close to campus instead of making something at home, since it would take longer to cook. Right when we get to the busy street corner, we pass a guy, maybe 25 years old, sitting on a bus bench and looking rather sketchy.

He asks us for a cigarette. Not politely or anything, but demanding us to give him one, in rough, angry tones. Obviously his mother didn’t teach him manners.

I was too tired to deal with him and just kept walking. Eamon did too.

Right as we pass him, though, he starts to get pissed. Out of nowhere he starts yelling obscenities at us, “How DARE you treat me like dirt, I’m a human being a*%hole! yelling yelling yelling school of music yelling yelling college students more yelling yelling. How’d you like it if I started hitting your bitch right in front of your face and you couldn’t do anything because you have a small d*%k you a*%hole, yeah that’s right you couldn’t do ANYTHING, that little bitch of yours treating me like … more and more yelling.

…Yeah. That’s all I could make out of his tantrum.

For one, what good is insulting my boyfriend and then me going to do? I’m not going to give you a cigarette because you called me a bitch. Two. The fact that you threatened to hit me and not the guy shows that you are in fact a bigger pansy than we are, because you have no sense of chivalry since you want to hit a girl, and you know that Eamon has the potential to punch your face in. Three, acting like you’re drunk is not going to get sympathy from anyone, especially if you are an angry drunk. Four, if we can’t hear all of your insults, you obviously aren’t doing a good job. If you’re going to call be a bitch, do it properly and let me hear everything you throw at me! You’re even more of a coward because you won’t let me hear everything you say.

Surprisingly, Eamon did not punch his face in. I wouldn’t blame him if he had tried to. But he did turn around and look the guy in the eyes, and the look Eamon gave him put him in his place, because he shut up right then and shrunk back a little, lol. He didn’t even need to show the guy his brass knuckles, which is even more pathetic for the guy.

But if Eamon wasn’t there, who knows what he could have done to me!

Bleh, I hate having multiple tests in a day! It does make it more stressful T.T

I panic often in tests D; though it is easing down gradually!

Grr! Idiots like that annoy me so much! I wish people would just mind their own business and move on with their own lives without annoying others >_<

    What the hellllll…?

That’s why I’m taking karate now. So if someone acts like a total threatening d-bag to me I can just kick the crap out of them. (Or at least make it clear that I COULD…)

    @ Elizabeth:
I attempted to take some martial arts in my spare time, just for instances like that, and it just didn’t fit in my schedule. I wish I could take it too though :/ I’m jealous!

    @ tiffany:
It’s funny, I didn’t even realize I was panicking until 15 minutes into the test, that’s how new this sensation is to me, lol. Now I know what you guys feel like, and it’s not fun!

    @ Aimee:
I just can’t stop raging about this guy! I agree with you there, people like him make me hate the world more and more.

And gaah, I can relate with you on the substitute prof thing, we had a sub prof who wasn’t good, and then was again subbed by a no good prof too! what the??! gack! didn’t learn anything then… T_T

    Well tc! :D

I feel your pain. Maths isn’t my best subject either. And I find it boring, oh so boring!

Damn, that’s one crazy dude you met. Talk about overreacting! Good thing your boyfriend was there with you.

I don’t like being out alone at night either. I’m really scared I’ll meet people like that.

You asked about the milk foamer. I don’t know if it’s any good since I haven’t used it yet. My friends owns milk foamers though and theirs are really great so I thin mine will be too. :)

Wow, talk about scary. I mean, this whole post is a great way to frighten a soon-to-be college student. Math, crappy professors, crazy people on the street. . .

    You’ve convinced me. I don’t wanna go ><

Good thing you had someone with you, though. :)

you get to use a book but it is not of any use?
that is like the story of my high-school days.
they would just send us to the library and be like,
‘get a book which you think will help’.
    unluckily,
i never mastered that art. =[
