Flu Bug

Posted in Life, Relationships on November 29th, 2009

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for the past few days, but after my thanksgiving and working Black Friday, I’m SICK. I haven’t been really sick since middle school, so I guess I was overdue, but it doesn’t make it any better. I was supposed to work Saturday too, but had to call in, which made me feel even worse, because the whole weekend is crazy busy. But what did help was somehow the tv stations knew to play my favorite movies, so I didn’t even have to put the dvd in to watch them! Tarzan, Aladdin, and The Incredibles. So right now I’m doped up on flu medications and can’t quite process well. Let’s see what I can remember about my trip…

First off, his family is crazy. I thought my family had some characters, but basically everyone there was outgoing and silly. We get there at 9 pm Wednesday and his grandfather and uncle are there. The mom has been making food all day, making a ridiculous amount of food actually, and no one really ate any of it. The whole time everyone is talking, but no one is talking to anyone in particular, so there was just a bunch of yelling. :duur: While this was going on, and the whole time really, his little brother was upstairs playing games. Now I see it runs in the family, lol. But he does it right, because he had this whole gaming set up, even having an awesome gaming chair like the ones at this tv stands site.

After several hours of this, they decided to go bowling. At around midnight. They didn’t know where the bowling alley was, so the dad asked this ghetto looking black guy for help, and I thought he was going to beat him up, he took him behind the building, but he actually drove us there. Once there, they were all rather outgoing and silly, and the uncle was drunk basically the whole time. They changed his score to all gutterballs, and sadly, he didn’t even notice. I bowled a 40, I’m just that good.

On Thanksgiving day his older brother came over and they were all acting like little boys. Every 5 minutes they were beating up on each other, and boy did I feel out of place. I only had sisters, so we were very calm and well behaved. I really hope my kids aren’t all boys after the rough housing I witnessed, lol. Again, there was an insane amount of food and most of it wasn’t touched. Apparently, though, the parents got into a fight, about what I’m not exactly sure, but the dad was so mad he left and was gone for several hours. We had to leave about 8 oclock, got back in town at 1 AM, and I crashed. We almost got up early for black friday deals, almost. Thank god I didn’t, because I might feel even worse now!

I’m sure there was more that happened, but I just cant focus. And sadly I have to study since I have a test tomorrow, but I don’t know how that’s going to happen given my current state. Wish me luck, and I’ll catch up with all of you guys when I feel a little better. :D

What do you do to feel better when you’re sick?

Lol, Eamon’s place sounds like a hoot!

What makes me feel better? Sleep. That’s about the only thing.

I hope you feel better so we can celebrate my birfday!

Awww! I’m sorry you were sick these few days. ~_~;; It’s never fun when you’re sick!

Whenever I’m sick, I just curl up in my bed and sleep. I mean, when you’re sick there’s not much else you want to do! At least that’s the case with me :)

I hope you feel better soon. It’s really hard to do things when you’re not feeling well. I just rest in bed for a few days to catch up.

Feel better!!! When I’m sick, I think the best things to do are lay in bed watching TV and drinking water and lots of soup. Oh yeah, and SLEEPING.

I hope you feel better. I’m probably overdue for the flu as well. I haven’t had it in years. I hope I don’t get it any time soon though. =/

i hope you’ll get enough rest. being sick means too lazy to function. and it sucks.

Wow, prejudice much? Guess your father’s enlightenment didn’t rub off on you.

I suppose I’m sorry you’re sick. I eat chicken noodle soup, take some sort of medicine, and sleep to feel better when I’m sick.

    @ Olivia Heart:
Um… I’m not being prejudice at all. If you’re referring to me calling them crazy, I meant that they are fun and wild and spontaneous and full of life, as opposed to my family being calm and predictable. I think that’s a wonderful thing, and I’m grateful that I have someone with that trait because I don’t. If you’re referring to my comment on the gaming thing running in the family, that’s not a bad thing either. I’m a gamer myself, and it’s good that they have a positive place to escape to instead of drugs or alcohol or something. I’m sorry if I confused you.
