Clay Time!

Posted in Life on September 25th, 2009

I’ve been having way to much fun with this possible business scheme. I’ve even gone so far as to find myself planning creations in classes that I really need to pay attention in. But it does feel good to be excited about something again. After feeling so lost for a while there and not sure about anything, it feels good to have motivation and a goal.

I really want to make a mark at the convention and wherever else I decide to take it, so I want to make my table look really sharp. I’m definitely going to need a nice tablecloth, and I thought it might be cute if I wore a fancy apron since I’m selling “food”. But a problem I’ll have is getting customers to come to my table. My charms are going to be smaller, so they’ll really only see what I have to offer if they’re up close. In those cramped convention rooms, people from far away might pass me by. Yesterday, a genius idea hit me. I should have a cupcake stand and fill it with cupcakes so that way it gets things higher off the table top. People from afar will see them and be curious. But… I’ve tricked them because they’re not really cupcakes muahaha! They’re trinket boxes!! So you can see my first attempt at that below. I’ve learned a lot from this attempt and will be able to make them much cleaner in the future.

The only problem with this whole idea is that I might have to wait till April to see if this’ll work. I don’t know if I can wait that long. I feel like I’m going to explode I’m so pumped right now!! I’m going to try to get a table at the relatively new convention in town, but no promises there. My only hope is that they’ll have a list of the people with tables online, so people can find my website beforehand. Of course, I’ll have to fix my website. Which will take some time I guess. Currently my etsy shop has nothing in it, lol. I might have to change the name too. I don’t know if the name might hold me back…

I’m just so excited to be excited again!!!

And my camera just did not want to cooperate with close up shots, so this is the best I could get for the top off :annoy: You get the idea though. But it looks so much better and shinier in person!

I’m just going to say that if that were in a different color… I’d be thinking something different.

Oh no, you’re right! Maybe I’ll have to make it in a different design.. although it does look a little different in person. Oh dear! I’ll have to think about this lol
