I love my family, but ever since I went to college, going home just isn’t the same. They moved the summer before I started college, so the room I moved into isn’t really my room. Most of my furniture was given to my little sister, and I got her little twin bed. When I do come home, I don’t really feel like I belong.

My little sister is still in school, so she went to bed early. I stay up till at least 1 o’clock every night because I’m just a night person. Right now I’m sitting here at midnight with only my laptop to entertain me. Everyone else is asleep, which means the TV downstairs is off limits in case I wake my parents. It feels weird not having my late night shows blaring in the background. I don’t even have a desk to sit at. They like to keep the house slightly too warm for my taste, and right now the laptop on my lap is getting rather warm. I had a lamp, but it was old and the last time I tried to turn it on it started smoking, so no reading for me. The overhead light just isn’t the type of light I like for reading, if that makes sense. I’ve been on my usual websites for so long they’re losing their appeal. You know it’s bad when facebook loses its appeal, lol. Even when I put my laptop down I have no clue how I’ll fall asleep while I’m practically sweating. I hate it that I’m a night person. My late nights at the theater don’t help my sleep schedule either. At least I’m headed back on Wednesday.
